End of one month. Beginning of another. THIS IS FOR YOU.

It has been a while since I wrote one of these. Life has been busy lately, and finding time to rest, relax, reflect, and rejuvenate has been challenging. I have found myself working many late nights, rushed mornings, endless task lists, and keeping doors ajar while I coordinate the backgrounds of my life, my company, my foundations.

Many of us are in the same boat treading water.

A year ago, we were in our stillness, trying to make sense of a new way of being.

Today, we are still making sense of a new way of being.

I read a quote recently that humans are conditioned to always be in change, so in many ways, we are always trying to make sense of new way of being. Then the moment we catch our breath, in a snap it changes again. Isn’t it bittersweet?

I looked back at the ‘quote of the week’ from a post same time last year and I quoted Jim Morrison: “The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, an in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any larger-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen on the inside first.”

This quote still rings true today. Timeless. Grounded. Personal.

Treading water, staying in flow, creating waterways is work and sometimes the hardest work, but there is a moment that happens in the in the between from letting go from what no longer serves us to embracing our most authentic sacred spirit. That is where transformation starts.

The type of change and transformation we crave starts with us.
